Step 3: Navigate to insights, then settings in your WordPress blog and paste the MonsterInsights Pro license key. Press the verify button.

Step 4: On verification, select Custom Dimensions on the left side menu of the Tracking Tab. This will allow you to add new custom dimensions. Select the author from the dropdown list to act as your Custom Dimension. Save the changes.

Step 5: Navigate to your Google Analytics account, on the left menu, select the admin tab. Under Admin, click the custom dimensions to add a new custom dimension.

Step 6: In the form of creating a new custom dimension, add the author on the Name Field and keep all other settings as they are.

Step 7: Finally, on your Google Analytics custom dimension ID page, match the Index number provided with that of MonsterInsights Settings.

 

This simple installation will then allow you to generate the different, desired, detailed blog author reports.
